Vertical Cooler

With complete and uniform cooling, and the elimination of all flake and pellet breakage, our Vertical Cooler optimizes corn flake production for a stable, sustained process. 

This cooler contains no screens or perforated metal that would require frequent cleaning and replacement.  All internal baffles are made of 3/16” plate for long life.  The eccentrics that drive the baffles are of Daycolube, which has a low friction, and wear characteristics.  The eccentric’s shafts ride in permanently sealed and lubricated ball bearings that require no maintenance.  The baffle eccentrics are driven by a 1 HP 230 volt gear motor through a 50 SDS roller chain.

This fan can be used as an up-blast or have a horizontal outlet.

The discharges available are all specially designed to remove an even amount of material across the entire width of the cooler.  This results in an even flow of material through the cooler for the most uniform cooling possible.  Each discharge provides an infinite adjustment of the discharge rate. The discharge is started and stopped by a bin-indicator located in the inlet hopper of the cooler. 

An air valve is provided at the fan inlet to regulate the air flow through the cooler.  Air flow can be adjusted to handle the lightest flakes or the heaviest pellets.  Bleeding cool air into the fan inlet controls this flow.  The addition of this cool, dry air prevents moisture condensation in piping and dust collector.

The RC Series Coolers are available with mild steel or 304 stainless steel housings.
